Once upon a time, at the time of Robin Hood or maybe a few hundred years before that (but after King Arthur) there lived a princess who was unlucky enough to fall in love with a man who was not a price. His name was Horn and he was a servant who lived and worked in her father’s castle for seven years. He fell in love with her too and as the song says, “Seven years he served the King, All for the sake of his daughter Jean.” He was known to everyone as Hind Horn, because Hind was another word for servant in those days – it was a constant reminder that he could not marry the princess.
